Operational Excellence Specialist - Leadership Development Program

The Operational Excellence Leadership Development Program accelerates professional development by placing recent MBA graduates on multiple PolyOne Teams during a one to two-year rotational program. Individuals get hands-on experience by going through three or more rotations and participating in various assignments (Corporate, Regional, and possibly international), gaining key operational excellence competencies. These teams develop and support a wide range of applications and information and information systems that enable the critical processes of PolyOne businesses.
Types of activities may include distribution, supply planning, strategic sourcing, customer management, demand management, master scheduling & planning, inventory management, research & development, and network optimization. During each phase of their assignment they will establish relationships with peers and leaders, learn fundamentals and be provided feedback from the program manager. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be placed in a full time role within PolyOne that best suits their personal and professional goals and matches the business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams within operations and supply chain.
Assist in the creation of world class internal processes in rotational areas such as strategic supplier management, contract management, operations, and operations planning.
Interface with Operational Excellence and all areas of the business units to insure improvements are implemented and sustained.
Identify and develop key operational excellence metrics and measures to facilitate performance improvements.
Interact with Senior Management, gain exposure to the Company's most critical initiatives, build relationships with other high potential employees across the globe, and make a difference in PolyOne's future success.
Gain an understanding of the various PolyOne businesses from a financial, operational, and strategic standpoint.
MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management
BA/BS degree with emphasis in either Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or other related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience with understanding of demand management and forecasting, supply planning, distribution requirement planning, inventory management, production planning, master scheduling, operations management, etc.
Project management experience, team facilitation, data analysis, change management, best practice translation, and process improvement experience is ideal
APICS and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is preferred, but not required
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources using a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools.
Required to travel by car or plane up to 25% of the time.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
